The German automaker has officially unveiled the Porsche 911 Turbo, which is slightly weaker, slower, and cheaper than the 911 Turbo S.
The new modification of the supercar retained the 3.8-liter boxer turbo engine, but if on the Turbo S it produces 650 hp. and 800 Nm, then in the 911 Turbo its power was reduced to 580 hp. and 700 Nm.
At the same time, the difference in dynamics will hardly be noticeable. So, the Porsche 911 Turbo S accelerates from zero to 100 in 2.7 seconds, and the “younger” modification- the 911 Turbo requires 2.8 seconds in the coupe version (the open version is 0.1 seconds slower). The 911 Turbo claims a top speed of 320 km / h, while the Turbo S can reach 330 km / h.
Like the flagship model, the novelty received an 8-speed robotic gearbox in combination with an advanced all-wheel drive system. There is also an adaptive PASM suspension with the ability to lower the ride height by 10 mm and the Sport Chrono Package. For additional money, they will offer active anti-roll bars.
The cost of the sports car has so far been named only for the US market, where the 911 Turbo will cost at least $ 170,800 for the coupe and $ 183,600 for the cabriolet- and this is noticeably cheaper than the 911 Turbo S which’s price starts at $ 203,500. Acceptance of orders in the USA is already open, the first commercial copies of the model will appear early next year.
