Ruf Automobile has shown its first all-wheel-drive concept, Ruf Rodeo, which is styled Porsche.
Let us remember that Ruf Automobile specializes in producing small runs of sports cars that are made in the style of the Porsche 911. So, two years ago, the rear-engined Ruf CTR car with a turbocharged power unit debuted, and a year later it was shown its atmospheric modification – Ruf SCR. Now, the presentation of the all-wheel-drive concept Ruf Rodeo has taken place.
It is worth noting that there is not much in common between Ruf Rodeo and the original Porsche 911. The concept is based on a solid monocoque, which, like the external body panels, is made of carbon fiber. The frame and deformable safety zones are made of steel. In addition, Ruf Rodeo boasts increased ground clearance, longer-stroke suspension and tires with a special profile.
In the arsenal of Ruf Rodeo is an atmospheric 4.0-liter boxer engine that produces 510 hp. and 470 Nm of torque. Paired with a motor, a 6-speed manual transmission of its own design and an all-wheel-drive system work. This is the first model of the company, in which the torque is distributed on both axles. The release date of the new product on the market has not yet been announced, as the car is still in concept status.
